The Department of Middle Grades, Secondary and Science Education provides students with a hands-on learning and teaching experience. Immerse yourself in your chosen subject matter area of English, Science, History, Math, Health & Physical Education, Music, and Art. Practice teaching in real middle or high school classrooms. As each semester passes, your dream of becoming an educator will be one step closer to reality. Our flexible graduate programs can help you switch careers or further your expertise. If you didn't major in education as an undergrad, but now want to pursue a teaching certification, then our Master of Arts in Teaching or our Post-Baccalaureate program is for you. For our working teachers seeking their graduate degree, our online Master of Education in Middle Grades Math and Science is another option. No matter the program you choose, you will be ready to teach and to lead middle and high school students.
Associate degrees may be started on any campus except the Dahlonega Campus. Bachelor's degrees may be started on any campus. Degrees can be completed on the campuses noted in charts below.
