Overview

Kim Barge works in a variety of painting media including acrylic, watercolor, gouache, and India ink. She also explores paper cutting and hand painting on silk. Born and raised in Georgia, she received her B.F.A. in Textiles from Georgia State University, MAT in Art Education from the University of North Georgia, and her M.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. Kim was a K-12 art educator for 12 years before moving to post-secondary education. She has had two solo shows and has been exhibiting her work in group juried shows for many years.
