Illustration Area
The Illustration area at UNG prepares students to bring ideas to life through dynamic visual storytelling. Our curriculum blends traditional drawing and painting techniques with contemporary digital tools to develop versatile artists ready for diverse creative industries.
Students explore a range of media—pencil, ink, painting media, and digital illustration—while mastering concepts like character design, narrative sequence, and visual communication. With a strong foundation in observational drawing and conceptual thinking, students learn to craft compelling imagery for print, animation, gaming, editorial, advertising, and beyond.
Through hands-on projects, critiques, and professional practices, students gain the skills and confidence to succeed as illustrators in today’s competitive market.
