Graduate assistants, international students, and students accepted in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program are required to have health insurance. All other student types and graduate programs are exempt from this requirement, but the University System of Georgia does provide a voluntary health insurance plan for students in need of coverage.
Any student needing health insurance can visit the USG Student Health Insurance Program (SHIP) website to find out more information about this health insurance program.
