Per a Board of Regents initiative, all new college students in Georgia are required to complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention courses. All new students will receive an email from Vector soon after the add/drop date for the semester. It will include information on how to access these courses. Refer to the Vector website for more information.
All students who are enrolled in their first semester at UNG or have otherwise not taken the courses. This includes freshmen, graduates, transfer, and dual-enrolled students.
All survey responses are confidential; UNG will only receive information about the student body as a whole and never your individual answers as a student.
The AlcoholEdu course will include surveys about your personal health behaviors to help personalize your experience and measure students' alcohol-related attitudes and behaviors.
You will need Internet access and audio capabilities. Use a laptop or desktop, not a mobile device.
Do not use any other email address besides your UNG email as we use this to identify you as a student.
Do not input your social security number anywhere on the registration page for identification.
To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser (e.g., Firefox, Edge, Google Chrome) released within the previous two years.
It is best to take the course in one sitting versus letting it run in the background and returning to it after long periods of inactivity.
You may take the course in multiple sittings, but make sure to click on the "next" button after completing a section before logging out. If you do not progress to the next section first, you will have to repeat the previous section. Navigate using Vector’s buttons, not the browser’s buttons.
The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual student's answers.
You are unable to move to the next section in the course: Be sure you have completed all steps of the section. You need to click on every card, title, and hyperlink (this includes reference links such as to Georgia laws). Note: Links will automatically open their corresponding page in a new browser tab or window. After you are done reviewing the page “x out” of the extra tab/window and return to the one that contains the Vector training.
You have successfully completed the AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention courses in the past: Download your certificates (sign into Vector, select “Training History,” then “View Certificate”) and send it to Vector@ung.edu.
