AlcoholEdu & Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates (SAPU)

Per a Board of Regents initiative, all new college students in Georgia are required to complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention modules. Due to a switch in training providers, these modules are currently unavailable. Students will be notified after the add/drop period in January via their UNG email once they are available. During this transition period, no holds pertaining to these modules will be placed on student accounts.

    FAQs

    • Who needs to take these courses?

All new freshmen, transfer, and dually enrolled students.

    • How long can I expect the courses to take?

AlcoholEdu will take approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete.

SAPU will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

    • I'm not 21, but I still drink. Will my answers be private?

All survey responses are confidential; UNG will only receive information about the student body as a whole and never your individual answers as a student.

The AlcoholEdu course will include surveys about your personal health behaviors to help personalize your experience and measure students' alcohol-related attitudes and behaviors.

    • What do I do if I have a SAPU/AlcoholEdu hold?
      • Complete Part 1 of AlcoholEdu and SAPU ASAP!
      • After you have completed Part 1 of BOTH AlcoholEdu and SAPU, the hold will automatically be removed the following day.
      • After 30 days you will receive an invitation to complete Part 2 of AlcoholEdu and SAPU which must be completed promptly to avoid further holds.
    • How do I take these courses?
      • You will need Internet access and audio capabilities.
      • Do not use any other email address besides your UNG email as we use this to identify you as a student.
      • Do not input your social security number anywhere on the registration page for identification.
      • To avoid technical issues, please use any major web browser (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome) released within the previous two years.
      • You may take the course in multiple sittings, but make sure to click on the "next" button after completing a section before logging out. If you do not progress to the next section first, you will have to repeat the previous section.
      • The course may include surveys to help personalize your experience and measure students’ attitudes and behaviors. All survey responses are confidential; the school will only receive information about the student body as a whole and will never see individual students’ answers.
      • Should you experience problems, technical support is available 24/7 and can be accessed from the “Help” link within the course.
