Once admitted to UNG as an F-1 undergraduate student, there is an opportunity to apply for the International Student Scholarship. This scholarship encourages students to get involved in campus life and the local community. The award covers approximately $3000* of tuition expenses per semester. All UNG international students receive the application link by email after being issued the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility.
Eligibility Requirements
Be a new or continuing F-1 international student at UNG
Submit the application before the annual deadlines
Fall Enrollment - July 1
Spring Enrollment – November 1
Scholarship Requirements
Maintain a 2.5 GPA
Acquire 10 or more involvement credits each semester by participating in school activities, organizations, clubs, or Center for Global Engagement sponsored events
Students who maintain the above requirements may receive the scholarship for up to 10 semesters. Questions concerning this scholarship may be sent to global@ung.edu.
*Based on a Bachelor’s degree level student on the Dahlonega campus enrolled in 15 credit hours. Amounts may vary.
TheGoizueta Foundation Scholarshipsupports the academic success and leadership development of the Hispanic/Latino students at UNG through financial assistance, group activities, mentorship, personalized advising, and community service opportunities. New and returning students are eligible for consideration, regardless of immigration status.

This annually awarded scholarship allows students the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an international office environment at UNG’s Center for Global Engagement. The award amount is a full out-of-state tuition waiver for the fall and spring semester of the academic year. Students who meet the below eligibility requirements will receive the application link by email in May of each year.
Eligibility Requirements
Only students who are current recipients of the International Student Scholarship and who meet the following criteria may apply.
Must have completed at least one semester at UNG
Must be maintaining good academic standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher
Must have completed the student involvement credit requirements by achieving at least 10 credits per semester
