International Student Orientation

We are so excited that you've chosen to attend University of North Georgia (UNG), and our goal is to help make your experience here a wonderful one! International Student Orientation (ISO) is mandatory. If you are not able to attend, you must contact your international student advisor and make an appointment to meet as soon as possible.

Regardless of your campus, there are a few things that are applicable to all UNG international students.

What to Bring

Before Orientation

During Orientation

Airport Shuttle Dates

Each semester the Center for Global Engagement provides airport shuttle transportation from ATL airport to the Dahlonega UNG campus. Both new and returning students are able to utilize this service. The dates below are the only dates that the shuttle will be available. Returning students needing to utilize the shuttle will be expected to arrive and move-in early.

The CGE will offer transportation on the weekend of Commencement. Shuttles will leave the UNG campus on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (1500 hours) and on Sunday at 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (1500 hours). Sign up for airport drop-off to secure your spot on the shuttle.

Important note: The CGE reserves the right to reschedule your selected drop-off time to another shuttle that works with your flight time in order to maximize use of transportation.

Pick Ups

The CGE will offer transportation on January 2, 2019. The shuttle will leave the ATL airport at 11:45 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (1700 hours). If you cannot arrange a flight to arrive prior to 5:00 p.m. (1700 hours) on that Wednesday, you should arrive on Tuesday night and make arrangements to stay in a hotel or at the airport until the first shuttle pick-up on Wednesday morning. Sign up for airport pick-up to secure your spot on the shuttle.
