The Foundations, Reflections, and Methods for Effective Teaching (FRAME) program, formerly known as New Faculty Institute (NFI), supports faculty at all stages in the University of North Georgia’s (UNG) mission of “quality education, service, inquiry and creativity.”
The program fosters camaraderie for all while promoting teaching excellence and professional development. In addition, it supports acclimation to the institution for new faculty and teaching staff. One of the most beneficial aspects of the program arises in the sharing of experiences and insights from our classroom practices.
We strongly encourage all full-time and part-time faculty at UNG to participate in the FRAME program, a series of six workshops across the full academic year offered online via Zoom. There will be about 15 minutes of open socializing time before and after each session.
In order to qualify for a program certificate, FRAME participants must attend four of the six available sessions, complete the corresponding reflection assignments, and submit an implementation plan at the end of the year. A certificate cannot be earned by anyone who does not attend at least four sessions in person.
