The Residence Life Office will send housing information (via email) to the residential student's University of North Georgia email account within 10 days after the confirmation has been processed in Admissions.
Housing typically meets capacity in May and students will be waitlisted and offered housing as cancellations occur.
All housing is offered on a first come, space available basis and Residence Life does not guarantee a particular residence hall, room style or preferred roommates.
Students who apply for housing will be charged a $150 one-time, nonrefundable housing application fee. The application fee will be added by the Business Office to your student invoice within 7-10 business days and you may pay it with your tuition and fees.
Please note: If you apply for housing, but decide at a later date you no longer plan on attending the Dahlonega campus and/or living on campus, you are still required to pay this fee.
Each student will be given access via the Non-Cadet Housing Portal (Login Required) to complete a housing application, roommate selection, and room selection when they receive the invitation email to apply for housing.
Roommate requests must be mutual in order for one roommate to select a bedroom for both roommates. However, any student may choose a room with an empty bed without confirming an existing occupant as their roommate. Roommate requests are not guaranteed however; we will do our best to accommodate requests on a first come, space available basis.
Letters will be emailed out around the first week of July for fall semester housing and mid-December for spring semester housing, detailing the moving instructions.
