Newly admitted fall students
New UNG students may apply for a housing contract by completing the following steps:
- Apply for admission at UNG as a residential student or contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to request a change to residential status if the student originally applied to UNG as a commuting student.
- After acceptance to UNG, students must pay a $200 confirmation deposit via their Banner account to reserve a space in classes for the fall.
- New students should check their UNG e-mail account for a housing portal notification from Residence Life.
- Housing contracts, room selection, and roommate selection are all available through the UNG housing portal. Deadlines for housing are communicated through email.
Current UNG students
Current UNG students may apply for a housing contract by completing the following steps:
- Housingwill open mid-January. Residence Life will notify current residents via e-mail and the Residence Life website before the housing contract process opens.
- Please note that per UNG's Residence Policy, students who are freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus. Students who believe that they have a unique hardship may request a waiver to the Residence Policy through the Dean of Students Office.
- Please note that housing contracts are binding once completed. Students wishing to cancel a housing contract should consult the cancellation terms in their housing contract as termination fees will likely apply.
