Signing the Lease
Know Your Rights
Check the Georgia Landlord Tenant Handbook about your rights as a tenant and things your landlord has the right to expect of you.
Utilities
If utilities are not provided as part of the lease, you will need to contact the appropriate utility companies to set up an account and have utilities turned on. The Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce web site provides a listing of utilities and phone numbers to assist you.
Finances
Whether you currently live off-campus or are thinking of making the move, we recommend that all students book an appointment with the Student Money Management Center to review their finances and plan accordingly.
