Faculty Writing Retreat – Start Your Summer “Write!”

Posted: May 10, 2019

CTLL is hosting a one-day faculty writing retreat on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, on the Gainesville Campus in Nesbitt 3110. The retreat will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

We welcome Dr. Christine Tulley, an internationally recognized expert on faculty writing and the author most recently of How Writing Faculty Write (UP of Colorado 2018). She will present findings from her book and lead a lunchtime activity.
We see this retreat as an opportunity for participating faculty to get a head-start on a summer writing project, and we have carved out time during the writing retreat for individual writing and breakout sessions on topics of interest to faculty writers:

  • finding a journal home
  • navigating IRB
  • quantitative research design
  • life/work balance
  • developing a book project

Lunch is provided, with an informal happy hour gathering at Mellow Mushroom immediately after the retreat.
