Prior to Coming to Campus

thermometer

Complete the Daily Self-Screening before coming to campus each day.

What to Bring With You

  • Face coverings - UNG will be distributing face coverings at Weeks of Welcome events, but it would still be a good idea to have a few of your own.
  • Hand sanitizer and wipes
    • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout campus too!
  • Water Bottle
    • Not all water fountains will be on, but refillable bottle stations will be.

Get Tech Ready

  • Log in to D2L before your first class.
    • Many courses, but not all, will meet online for their first meeting. Please check your email for specific instructions from your professors.
  • Log in to Campus Groups and review the Tech Checklist for a refresher on all essential systems at UNG.
  • Review the Technology & D2L page for more tech tips.
  • Log in to Banner to confirm or update your contact information. Since things are more virtual this fall, it is important we have correct contact information to give you pertinent information as needed.

Get Ready for Class

  • Check go.ung.edu/courses  or your Tranguid in Banner to find the instructional method (modality) for your courses.
  • Again, Log in to D2L before your first class.
    • Many courses, but not all, will meet online for their first meeting. Please check your email for specific instructions from your professors.
  • Contact the instructor for each of your classes in advance so you know what to expect. Social-distancing requirements could mean changes such as hybrid online/in-person classes, flexible schedules or different seating arrangements.
  • Let your instructors know in advance if you are in a vulnerable population or live with someone who is so that you can work out necessary accommodations.
