UNG Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award 2019

The UNG Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award recognizes faculty and teaching staff whose research demonstrates valuable work in the scholarship of teaching and learning. The awardee engages in a systematic examination of student learning and the instructional conditions that promote learning. His or her work has been disseminated in public, peer-reviewed venues. Up to three awards may be made annually. Faculty and teaching staff from all campuses are encouraged to apply.
Yi Deng, Associate Professor of Philosophy, works mainly on moral and political philosophy, Kantian moral and political philosophy, global justice, and Asian Philosophy. She is particularly interested in the application of moral and political theories in seeking theoretical and practical solutions to contemporary problems, especially those in the global domain, where comparative study of eastern and western political theories is one of her concentrations.
