Gary Adcox is Director of Campus Success and Strategic Initiatives.
“From Community Garden to Environmental Science Lab (Biology 1260L)” expanded a previous LEAP Grant project that had established a vegetable garden to supply the food pantry, Nigel’s Nest, with fresh food. The addition added a pollinator garden to the vegetable garden. This pollinator garden is used in Biology 1260L: Environmental Science Lab. Students conduct pollinator surveys, observe pollinators in action, and learn more about food insecurity in the community.
