Why UNG? Video Transcript

[music playing]

I chose the University of North Georgia, because of the amazing nursing program that they offer.

I chose it because it has the best ROTC program around. And also it's really good academics too.

Where are you from?

Ireland.

Why did you choose North Georgia?

I like that it's a small school, and the location. It's like country kinda, away from the city.

It's far away from places, but you can also get to the places easy like Atlanta. It's like only an hour away.

But there is just an amazing community right here.

Beautiful!

Peaceful!

Caring!

Diverse!

Quiet.

I love hiking and biking and all that stuff, so the mountains are perfect for me.

I love the scenery and um... yeah.

I chose it for the campus, and because I knew a lot of people who went here. And I liked how it was close to home, but far enough away.

You know the classes are smaller, which is really nice. You have more one on one time with the professors.

They offer me a great opportunity to go through the ROTC program here and commission and contract.

It's just a good school. I've always heard good things about it. And I've got friends here and it's close to home.

When I reach out to the school for help, in terms of what to expect, they're very accommodating and very helpful and I ended up liking it here.

It's really diverse.

When we came to visit this campus, it turned out to be a really heartwarming place. I felt really accepted right away.

It's really easy to make friends and, I don't know, everybody's really nice.

It was just smaller and it was just more homey, and it just felt like it would be a better fit-

Why are you staying here? Because she was going to transfer, but she decided to stay because she loved it so much.

I'm an Athletic Training major.

My friend took me on a tour of the campus and I just fell in love with the campus.

I was like this is it.

I like the small classes. I get to talk to my professors more and get to know them better. Get to make more friends I guess.

Yeah!

It's home! Look at it. It's beautiful!
