Calling for applicants to participate in Faculty Learning Communities

    Posted: December 12, 2018

Application Deadline: Monday, December 17, 2018

The University of North Georgia is participating in the Chancellor's Learning Scholars program initiated by the USG to provide additional faculty development opportunities across state campuses.

Four faculty members from UNG were chosen as Chancellor's Learning Scholars (CLS) and will lead Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) on the Cumming, Dahlonega, and Oconee campuses.

FLCs are designed to give small groups of faculty (typically 8-10) the opportunity to engage in sustained, meaningful conversations about teaching and learning with supportive colleagues from across campus for at least one semester. Members will explore areas of interest with the goal of incorporating changes into their teaching practice.

The UNG groups will be led, respectively, by Dr. Ellen Best, Dr. Dan Cabaniss, Dr. Tom Cooper, and Dr. Lauren Johnson.

If you would like to participate in one of the FLCs, applications are currently being accepted (see the table below for more information).

For more information about the Chancellor's Learning Scholars program and FLC application requirements, please visit the Chancellor's Learning Scholars webpage.
