    Percipio

    UNG Percipio eLearning Program

    The Human Resources department also administers the Percipio eLearning Program as an online training and development platform available to all faculty and staff at UNG.

    It is host to a comprehensive catalog of more than 3000 - free non-credit hour professional development courses, simulations and reference materials that can be accessed anytime through an Internet connection. These courses offer a wide variety of training and professional learning and development opportunities designed to enhance critical business and computer skills.

    Courses range from fifteen minutes to four hours and include curriculums related to Business Skills, Computer Desktop Applications and IT Professional Training.

    Percipio FAQs

    • What is Percipio?

      Percipio is UNG’s eLearning program available to faculty and staff and includes a comprehensive catalog of over 3,000 free non-credit, on-line professional development courses, simulations and reference materials that can be accessed anytime through an internet connection. These courses offer a wide variety of training and professional learning and development opportunities which are designed to enhance critical business and computer software skills and thus increasing professional knowledge and value to the University. Percipio also offers over 29,000 books on subjects related to business, desktop applications and IT professional subjects.

    • How Long are the Courses?

      Courses range from fifteen minutes to four hours. The actual time needed to complete a course will vary by user. However, the estimated duration for each course is available by viewing the course description once you are logged into Percipio.

    • Can I Take Courses at Work?

      Yes, UNG encourages you to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your personal and professional skills and knowledge at work. Discuss your development goals with your manager and determine the most appropriate time for you to take courses.

    • How Do I Access Percipio Training?

      You can conveniently access Percipio with a single sign-on approach using Internet Explorer on any computer that offers internet access.

      Path to Accessing Percipio

      From any computer with internet access...

      • Go to the UNG Human Resources website
      • Click on the Training/Staff Development tab
      • Click on Percipio e-Learning
      • Click on the Percipio Login at the bottom of the page
      • Once you reach the Login page, simply enter in your network username and password – this will take you directly to the UNG – Percipio homepage
    • How Do I Find the Courses in Percipio?

      Once you are logged into the UNG Percipio Homepage, you can find courses by entering in key words, course title or the course number in the “Search for” field at the top of the screen. You can limit or expand your search by changing the “Category” field also located at the top of the screen. Once you submit the search criteria, the matching selections will appear below. Just click on the link to see more detailed information related to that course.

    • What are Job Aids?

      Job Aids are handy course highlights that can be printed out as a reference to be used while you are taking the course or whenever you need support of your new skill or when you need a quick refresher.

    • What are Skill Briefs?

      Skill Briefs provide a summary of the key points covered in a course.  They are a great resource of “just in time” learning or as a refresher of the course objectives.

    • How Do I Bookmark My Place?

      If you need to leave a course before completion, use the “Exit” button to close the Percipio course player – this “bookmarks” your place in the course.  When you return to that course, you are given the option to return to where you left off in the previous session.  If you leave a course to visit the Course Menu, you will find a “Return to Bookmark” button in the lower right corner.  Click on this button to return to your last place in the course.

    • Can I Print a Certificate of Completion?

      Yes, follow these steps:

      • Log into the Percipio training portal.
      • Click on the “My Progress” tab on the upper left.
      • Look for the course you took under the “Completed” tab.
      • To the right of the course title you will see an icon.
      • Click on this icon to generate a PDF of your certificate of completion.
      • Print the PDF to your local printer.
    • Who Do I Contact If I Am Having Problems Accessing a Course or Assigning a Course?

      Please contact your Training/Development Specialist at 678-717-3782.

    • Who Do I Contact for Technical Questions?

      If you are having problems logging in or general technical questions, contact the IT HelpDesk at 706-864-1922.

    Quick-Start Guide

    1. Discuss your professional development goals with your supervisor and make arrangements for time to complete the training courses. Course completion times vary and can be viewed in Percipio.
    2. Access Percipio by following these steps utilizing either Internet Explorer or Firefox.
      • Go to the UNG Percipio Program webpage and click on the Percipio Log-in link at the bottom of webpage
      • Type in your network username and password.
      • You should then be automatically directed to the UNG Percipio Welcome page.
    3. To access courses assigned to you, click on the My Plan link.
    4. To search for a course, enter key words, course title, or the course number in the Search for field at the top of the screen.  In the Category field, select Courses and then click the Search button.
    5. Another way of searching for a course is by clicking on the Catalog button on the left of the screen.
    6. Once you find the course of your choice, click on the Launch link to start the course.
    7. Should you get a message to 'Run' software, go ahead and click 'Run'.
    8. To begin the course, click on the 'Begin Course' link at the bottom of the screen.
    9. To Advance or go back, use the navigation arrows at the bottom of the screen.
    10. To view completed courses, click on My Progress located on the Home Page. This will show you which courses you have begun or completed as well as the scores for any tests you completed.
    11. If you find a course that is of interest and you would like to make it easier to find, you can add it to your My Plan.
    12. To exit a course, click on the Exit button in the upper right hand corner of the window. Percipio will place a bookmark on the topic you last accessed and you can choose from that topic to resume. If you close the window without pressing the Exit button, the bookmark will not be saved.
    13. Once you have finished and are ready to leave the Percipio website, simply click on the log out at the top right hand corner of the screen.
