    Accuplacer

    UNG's Testing Centers offer seven different Accuplacer options. Select why you are taking the Accuplacer to find out how to register, how to pay, and where to go for your exam.

    • Accuplacer for Placement

      Accuplacer for Placement

      Accuplacer is a computer-based test consisting of three components:
      1. Reading
      2. Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, Statistics (QRAS)
      3. WritePlacer

      The writing component is timed 60 minutes, and the reading and math portions are untimed.

      Step One: Check your application status to confirm a placement test is required. Enter your student ID number or Social Security number and date of birth.

      Step Two: You will be directed to select a test date via the Placement Test Sign-Up form. 

      Step Three: You will be automatically routed to our registration webpage. At this time, you must pay the fee of $28 to complete your registration. All testing fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

      *Note: You must use a different web browser than Internet Explorer.

      If you have any questions, please contact your testing center's office directly.

      What to Expect

      ✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID.
      ✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test.
      ✔ Calculators are not allowed in the testing lab, there is a calculator built into the test for you to use.
      ✔ Scores will be provided immediately after testing.
      ✔ Length of Exam: Varies

      Retest Policy

      All retests are $28. 

      Students are permitted to retest. Please contact Dede deLaughter to discuss the retest policy and how to schedule a retest session. Please note that all Accuplacer testing must be completed before the start of the semester for which you applied to attend.

    • Accuplacer for Dual Enrollment

      Accuplacer is a computer-based test consisting of three components:

      1. Reading
      2. Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, Statistics (QRAS)
      3. WritePlacer

      The writing component is timed 60 minutes, and the reading and math portions are untimed.

      Please Note: If you plan to submit ACT or SAT test scores, do not register for Accuplacer testing.

      What to Expect

      ✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID.
      ✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test.
      ✔ Calculators are not allowed in the testing lab, there is a calculator built into the test for you to use.
      ✔ Scores will be provided immediately after testing
      ✔ Length of Exam: Varies

    • Accuplacer for Associate Pathway Admission

      Accuplacer for Associate Pathway Admission

      Accuplacer is a computer-based test consisting of three components:
      1. Reading
      2. Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, Statistics (QRAS)
      3. WritePlacer

      The writing component is timed 60 minutes, and the reading and math portions are untimed.

      Step One: Check your application status to confirm the Accuplacer requirement has been added to your record. Enter your student ID number or Social Security number and date of birth.

    • Accuplacer Remote - UNG Students

      Are You a UNG Student, but Unable to Travel to a Testing Center?

      If you are a UNG student but are unable to travel to a UNG testing center to complete the Accuplacer, please email ungremotetesting@ung.edu. Our staff will set up your Accuplacer at a different location.

      The following will be needed to complete a remote Accuplacer request:
      Name
      Student ID Number (900#)
      Date of Birth
      Mailing Address
      Email Address
      City/State/Zip of desired testing location

      A fee of $11.50 must be paid before a remote testing voucher is created. Please allow a 1-2 business day response time to fulfill your request. (NOTE: The institution where you decide to test may require an additional proctor fee.)

      ✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID, Accuplacer voucher number and student ID number.
      ✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test.

    • Accuplacer Remote - Non-UNG Students

      Accuplacer for Another College/Institution

      If you are attending a non-UNG institution that requires you to complete Accuplacer and you are unable to test there, you will need to contact your institution’s testing center and ask that they generate, for you, a remote voucher.

      Please have your institution send all remote vouchers to your selected testing site via email.

      What to Expect

      ✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID, Accuplacer voucher number and student ID number.
      ✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test.
      ✔ Calculators are not allowed in the testing lab, there is a calculator built into the test for you to use.
      ✔ Scores will automatically be sent to your institution.
      ✔ Length of Exam: Varies

      Accuplacer for Your Employment

      Your employer may request that you complete Accuplacer testing.  You must be sure your employer informs you of which portions you should complete prior to scheduling your appointment.
