Foreign Language Achievement Testing Services (FLATS) is a multiple-choice computer-based exam that consists of listening, reading and grammar components.
This program is administered through Brigham Young University and provides students with the opportunity to receive college credit for over 60 different foreign languages.
Students may earn up to a maximum of 12 academic credits in select modern languages through FLATS.
Most tests require at least a 60-70% to pass; this varies based on the difficulty of the language.
All tests are on a pass/fail basis and graded credit will not be given.
✔ You must provide a valid government issued photo ID. ✔ If you arrive fifteen minutes after your scheduled appointment time, you may not be allowed to test. ✔ Length of Exam: 2.5 hours ✔ Scores are emailed directly to student in 2-4 weeks.
