ACT Testing

The Institutional or “residual” ACT is administered to students who were unable to test on a national test date. Skills are assessed in the areas of English, Math, Reading, and Science. Scores from Residual Testing are reported only to your institution for admission, course placement, and advising purposes.

Important: The Zell Miller Scholarship does NOT accept the Institutional SAT/ACT. If you want to be considered for the Zell Miller Scholarship, you must take either the National ACT or the National SAT prior to graduating high school.

Important

I understand that all four sections of the Residual/Institutional ACT (English, Math, Reading, and Science) will be administered during my appointment. If I plan on taking only select sections of the IACT, I understand it is my responsibility to verify I am meeting all UNG admission requirements: both minimum English and Math individual scores and the required Freshmen Index.

If you have questions, please contact the Admissions Office on the campus you wish to attend.  (Phone numbers can be found at the above link.)

You must wait a minimum of 60 days between retests.

Test Scores

The Residual ACT scores can ONLY be used for University of North Georgia.

Students may not order Additional Score Reports for any other college or use their scores for any other college.

Receiving your ACT scores:
Students will receive a letter in the mail detailing your scores within two weeks of the testing date.
