College of Education Residual ACT Testing

The Institutional or “residual” ACT is administered to College of Education students who were unable to test on a national test date. Skills are assessed in the areas of English, Math, Reading, and Science.

Scores from Residual Testing are reported only to your institution for admission, course placement, and advising purposes.

Important Information

  • The Residual ACT scores can only be used for University of North Georgia.
  • Students may not order Additional Score Reports for any other college or use their scores for any other college.
  • Unless Testing Center staff have written instructions from Admissions to administer only certain sections of the ACT, students must take all sections of the exam.
  • The Zell Miller Scholarship does not accept the Institutional SAT/ACT. If you want to be considered for the Zell Miller Scholarship, you must take either the National ACT or the National SAT prior to graduating high school.
